Capri McKelvey is a dedicated wife to Evangelist Chris McKelvey and a proud mother of one son, three daughters, and two grandsons. With a heart for nurturing young minds and spirits, she has taken on numerous spiritual sons and daughters throughout her journey.

Capri's educational background includes an Associate's Degree in Marketing, along with extensive coursework in education, specializing in children on the autism spectrum and dyslexia. With 24 years of experience in education, her passion for teaching led her to pursue opportunities in non-accredited Christian schools, where she witnessed the transformative power of faith-based education firsthand.

​

Her lifelong dream of opening a Christian school with a nurturing, home-like environment was solidified when she led a five-year-old to Christ, reaffirming the importance of providing a safe haven for children to learn and grow in the Word of God. Capri has also led numerous children to the Lord, but one particularly memorable experience occurred when a child she had led to Christ years earlier reached out to her, affirming the critical importance of a Christian learning environment. This child expressed that she may have never known Jesus without that pivotal moment.

As the Director of Faith Christian Center Academy, Capri's primary duties encompass everything from administrative tasks to fostering a Christ-centered learning environment. She is committed to saving children from the challenges of the mainstream education system and invests long hours to ensure their success.

Community involvement and collaboration are at the heart of Capri's leadership approach. Faith Christian Center Academy actively engages with the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce and volunteers for various community activities to strengthen ties within the city.

Setting Faith Christian Center Academy apart from other educational institutions, Capri describes it as a micro-school with a faith-based curriculum and homeschool environment, emphasizing hands-on learning and individualized attention. Students are encouraged to embrace their identity in Christ and develop critical thinking skills.

Capri's leadership extends beyond the classroom, with a rich history of ministry involvement spanning over 33 years. From serving as an ordained minister to organizing women's conventions and retreats, she has impacted thousands nationally and internationally.

With a diverse background in education, chiropractic management, and ministry, Capri brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role at Faith Christian Center Academy, shaping the next generation of leaders with love, faith, and dedication.
